Mr. Michael Chan is Vice President of the Global Markets Division of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEx”). Michael is mainly focused on attracting international companies to list in Hong Kong. In addition to leading the marketing efforts globally and working closely with prospects and constituents, Michael often speaks and serves as panelist and keynote speaker at major conferences and events locally and internationally. Prior to his current role, Michael has worked at the Listing Division of HKEx for 7 years managing and monitoring corporate governance, compliance, regulatory and listing-related matters of listed companies. He has established and maintained regular contacts with listed issuers, regulatory and governmental bodies, advisers and market practitioners.
Prior to joining HKEx, Michael has worked at various financial institutions in corporate finance and business development. Michael has more than 15 years of experience in financial services and regulatory work and is a BSc graduate of the University of Edinburgh and a post-graduate in law from the College of Law (London).
Voon Keat Lai

Stephenson Harwood
Voon is the managing partner of Stephenson Harwood in Greater China and a senior corporate partner based in Hong Kong with a strong emphasis on international corporate finance, commercial contracts and technology practice.
He has broad experience in fund raising, cross-border restructuring, acquisitions and disposal of assets and shares, joint ventures and securities law, much of which relates to listed company clients. He also assists listed clients, both in Hong Kong and internationally, with on-going regulatory and compliance matters. Apart from mainstream corporate/commercial work, Voon is actively involved in the firm’s business technology practice and advises on commercial agreements and contracts involving e-commerce businesses, software and website design and technology agreements.
Voon has an MBA from Ashridge Business School and a working experience as a corporate planning manager in a financial institution, which enable him to be particularly aware of his clients’ broader business needs.
Voon is ranked as an AsiaLaw leading lawyer for general corporate practice. He is also ranked as a leading individual by Chambers Global for capital markets and corporate M&A.
Pauline Leung

Pauline is a partner in PwC’s Capital Market Services Group (“CMSG”). She has more than 20 years of experience in providing assurance and business advisory services, with 11 years as a partner.
Throughout her years with the firm, Pauline has gained extensive experience in assisting companies on their initial public offering (“IPO”) and other capital market transactions. She has a wide client base in a variety of industries such as retail, manufacturing, trading, and energy and mining. From 2005 to 2007, Pauline worked as a partner of our Beijing office during which she was exposed to serving state-owned and privately owned enterprises in Mainland China.
Pauline graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a degree in Business Administration (major in accountancy). She is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”) and was a council member of the Hong Kong branch of ACCA during 1998 to 2002.
